What MCP is
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that lets AI agents connect to tools and data.
Harpoons provides an MCP server. Connect it to Claude or Codex and your agent can look up your target accounts, their priority and the evidence behind it. Other agents that support MCP connect in the same way.

Structured, sourced, dated
Agents get facts in a form they can use: what changed, why it matters, who to contact and where each fact came from.

An AI agent without good data fills the gaps with guesses. It might invent a reason to call, or quote news that’s two years old as if it were new.
Harpoons gives agents the same checked research your team uses. Each fact comes with its source and date. Unknowns are marked as unknown. That means fewer made-up answers, and faster, more accurate work.
Access you control
- Read-only. Agents can read your research. They can’t change it, send messages or contact anyone.
- Your company only. An agent can only reach your company’s data.
- Contact details are off by default. Agents don’t see email addresses or phone numbers unless you allow it.
- Limits on volume. Each agent can read a set number of records, so it can’t copy your whole contact list.
- Source text is only data. Text from a web page can’t give an agent more access.
